Welcome to our private family compound on the beautiful Waterford shoreline. Our oceanfront guesthouse is a beautifully modernized eighteenth century getaway that offers a perfect blend of historic New England charm and updated coastal comfort. We have been hosting travelers on this professionally maintained property for eight years, and we love sharing the peaceful atmosphere, stunning water views, and incredible evening sunsets with families and adventurers looking for a classic Connecticut vacation.

The cottage itself is rich with architectural character from when it was originally built, featuring low clearances and a steep curved staircase typical of the historic period. Every single room in the home offers a view of the ocean, from the cozy living room and sunroom on the main floor to the two comfortable bedrooms upstairs. Guests enjoy full private access to the entire cottage, which includes a fully equipped kitchen, a main level remodeled bathroom, and a second floor half bath.

Outdoor living is a major part of the experience here. The guesthouse shares a massive, spacious yard with the main house and the carriage house, giving you plenty of room to relax. You can spend your mornings sipping coffee on the patio picnic table or watching the waves from our face to face glider and Adirondack chairs situated on the crushed stone overlook. For those bringing watercraft, the property offers ample free parking with plenty of space for a boat and trailer, and the public boat launch and fishing jetty are right around the corner.

Our location makes it easy to explore the very best of the Connecticut shoreline. The Long Island Sound access beach is just a short walk away, offering fantastic sand bars at low tide that are perfect for walking and kids. When you want to venture out for a day trip, historic attractions like Mystic Seaport, the Mystic Aquarium, and the Submarine Force Museum are only a short drive down the road.
