Welcome to our oceanfront guesthouse. We are thrilled to share the waterfront views of our beautiful private family compound with you. This modernized 18th century getaway is entirely yours. The cottage features two bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms, a full kitchen, a patio with a picnic table, a living room, and a sunroom that all offer stunning views of the water and evening sunsets. It is located in a very quiet and safe neighborhood just a short walk to a sandbar that is great for kids and close to multiple beaches.
Our newly updated cottage is your own designated space to enjoy. With views of the ocean from every room, it is the perfect spot to relax. The professionally maintained property shares a large spacious yard with the main house and the carriage house. You are welcome to use the face to face glider and the Adirondack chairs overlooking the water, which are located on the crushed stone right next to your patio.
Original architectural features add beautiful charm and character to the space. Both bedrooms and the half bathroom are located on the second floor, while the newly remodeled full bathroom and a queen sleeper sofa are on the main floor. Because of the historic nature of the home, please note that the stairway is steep and curved. Taller guests will need to watch their heads when using the stairs and entering the cottage due to the lower doorways typical of the time period. The bedrooms and primary living spaces all have plenty of headroom, and we hope you embrace the unique historic charm of this lovely home.
We provide one bath towel and one face cloth per guest for the duration of your stay. We highly recommend bringing your own beach gear and beach towels to enjoy the water.
You will have free parking on the property with plenty of room for your boat and trailer if you need it. The Long Island Sound Access Beach is just a few minutes away by foot and features great sandbars at low tide. If you are bringing a boat or love to fish, the public boat launch and fishing jetty are literally around the corner. All bookings are though Airbnb!
